Make time every day to do something that makes you feel good.
Sometimes you’re so busy just surviving that you forget to appreciate your life. The days all roll into one and start to feel like a chore. You’re trudging from one task to another; rinse and repeat day in day out! Take some time today to acknowledge your life is a gift and there are so many incredible things to enjoy. Reconnect with the things that bring you joy and try some new experiences; it’s time to love your life again!
Quick wins to help you love your life!
Believe it or not, a simple smile can release hormones that make you feel happy. When you smile, let yourself experience the feelings of calmness and joy working through your body.
Try something new
Get out of your comfort zone and feel more energised. Make the most of opportunities to try new activities. You never know, you might find you enjoy something you’ve never considered to be fun before. Self-improvement begins at the end of your comfort zone!
Practising kindness not only helps others, but it also makes you feel good. Why not try a random act of kindness today? Look for ways you can improve somebody else’s day and maybe they’ll pay it forward!.
Your brain is wired for social interaction; when you’re feeling low I get it, this can be hard! Some people make you feel energised, and some make you feel drained. Think about who’s company you enjoy and prioritise spending your time with them. Remove negativity by leaving toxic relationships behind.
Rekindle your passion
Do you make time for yourself and self -care? You should! Find yourself a new hobby or pick an old one back up. If it makes you happy, then you should make it a priority. If your mind starts to make excuses, don’t listen! Make the first move and start right now!
Focus on your needs
How many times do you think you need something when really you merely want it?! When you don’t get what you want it can be frustrating, I know!
Have you considered making a, wants and needs list? To do this, before you impulsively rush into a new purchase, write it down. Write down anything you think you need and wait a few days before you buy. When you come back to your list, is the item something you need or want.
It is very freeing to realise the difference between wants and needs.
Seize the moment
Studies show that you need to make a move when motivation shows up. When you feel the need to do something you need to act fast. E.g. Getting out of bed! If you wait and mull it over, even for 20-30 seconds, you lose your momentum, and it’s harder to act. Have you read ? It’s one of my favourite self-help books.
Live in sync with your passion, values and goals. Prioritise your own happiness and love your life!
